Born and raised on the island of Guernsey, Jim decided to grace 'the mainland' at the earliest opportunity, more specifically Chichester, where he successfully graduated in Media Studies (BA), making a documentary for one of the biggest christian charities in the world, and another that was included in Channel 4's 'fourdocs' service in the process.
Jim continued to gain experience in video production, advertising, print and web design, working freelance for various other companies before starting out on his venture with Aphex Media along with his brother Richard.
Jim is a keen guitarist/singer/songwriter, regularly playing in church and in a function/party band named 'The Deloreans'. Jim's main weakness is pasta, although anything involving football, specifically Man Utd is a close second.
Having achieved a first class honours degree Rex set up his first media company primarily focused on website development and online streaming. After a year of successful business completing advertising campaigns for cinema, newspaper and other forms of print along side designing, maintaining and hosting websites for large local firms to companies nationwide Rex realised that there was potential for expansion and set up Aphex Media alongside Richard and Jim to offer a higher quality service to customers and to serve a wider range of clientel.
Rex is also a successful songwriter published with EMI CMG in the USA, Kingsway Thankyou Music in the EU and has released an album sold internationally. He is an active Christian and travels around the country and worldwide with his music. Rex is married and is based in Chichester.
After graduating from ARU University in Cambridge with a BSc degree in Audio and Music Technology, Richard worked in advertising and freelance web design before deciding to join Rex and Jim in the formation of Aphex media. Whilst completing his degree, Richard also became skilled as a 3D artist and gained experience with realtime CG environments using OpenGL.
Richard has a wealth of experience in audio production, 2D and 3D animation, web programming & design, game logic, database design, and video editing, and so is able to work in situations that require both technical ability and creative thinking.
Richard has a strong interest in Metaphysics, Magick, and General Semantics. He also enjoys avant-garde films and a good cup of coffee.
